Max Gillespie-Hewitt
Articling Student
Developing a well-rounded foundation in multiple practice areas.
Max first joined Dooley Lucenti Barristers & Solicitors as a summer student in both 1L (2024) and 2L (2025) before returning to complete his articles. He has gained hands-on experience across each of Dooley Lucenti's practice areas, including litigation, corporate and business law, wills and estates, and real estate. He is focused on continuing to hone his legal skills through hands-on exposure during his articling period.
Max holds a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School (2026) and a Bachelor of Commerce from York University's School of Administrative Studies (2023). Throughout law school, he was actively involved in extracurricular student life, including serving on the Osgoode Indigenous Students' Association Executive Committee as Resource Manager (2025) and Vice-Chair (2026).
Away from the firm, Max has pursued a lifelong passion in athletics. A competitive junior tennis player from age 11, he went on to earn a coaching certification through Tennis Canada at 16 and spent close to a decade as a tennis instructor and league coordinator, alongside a continued interest in weightlifting.
Max is a dedicated individual with a promising future in the legal profession.
