Counsel
A unique perspective from both sides of the hearing room, and the middle.
Michelle brings extensive litigation experience and adjudicative expertise to her practice.
Before joining us, Michelle served as an Adjudicator with the Landlord and Tenant Board for six years, including five years as Vice Chair. Prior to her time as an Adjudicator, Michelle practiced as a litigator representing individuals in serious personal injury and insurance matters, including motor vehicle collisions, accident benefits, occupiers’ liability, medical malpractice, and denied insurance claims. She has appeared before all levels of Ontario Courts and numerous administrative tribunals.
Michelle is also deeply committed to public service and advancing access to justice. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Ontario’s Human Rights Legal Support Centre, where she provides strategic guidance and supports the organization’s work in protecting human rights across Ontario.
Called to the Ontario and Alberta bars in 2011, Michelle holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies from Western University.
Michelle’s approach is grounded in preparation, fairness, and practical advocacy. She understands that every legal matter involves real people and works closely with clients to develop effective strategies focused on achieving meaningful results.
